Common Starring Alongside Angelina Jolie & Morgan Freeman In Mark Millar Adaptation, "Wanted"

    Common recently wrapped up shooting his scenes for "Wanted", a new film directed by Timur Bekmambetov, based on the indie comic book written by Mark Millar (Marvel Comics' Civil War, The Ultimates). Com stars alongside Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, Terrance Stamp, and James McAvoy, playing a character called "The Gun Smith". "Man, it really was a beautiful experience, we shot it in Prague, I finished it up, they're still shooting, but man, I just learned a lot on there, to be one of those characters," said Common in an interview with CraveOnline. "Its funny, most of the roles I've been getting I'm shooting guns, or holding guns and that's the exact opposite of what Common is about, at least I ain't for shooting for no reason, I'm only down if its to protect one's self. Anyway, it's ironic that I'm taking on those characters, but it's fun," he added. The film is set for release March 28th, 2008. - Pizzo
